Blackjack Card Counting

Blackjack and card counting go like Posh and Becks - they were always meant to be together.

It seems logical that as a player you would have an idea of what cards have already come out of the shoe but Blackjack Card counting makes it a bit more scientific.

Today, there are many different Blackjack card counting systems. They range in complexity and brain power needed to operate it.

A player is going to benefit when there are less cards in value from 2-8 in the deck.

The dealer prefers less 9s, 10s and Aces.

+/- Point Count

The cards 20 cards from 2-6 are all worth 1 point each.

The 12 cards 7-9 are worth 0 and the 20 cards 10-A are worth -1 each.

The aggregate value of a 52 card deck is 0.

When the deck is in your favour bet more and when it isn't bet less.

If you have trouble keeping the count straight in your head, you can use your chips as a memory storage device.

All in all Blackjack card counting is a system that is quite complicated and requires a lot of skill and patience. In the end you might be better off going with your gut feeling.
